Child Rights Project

In collaboration with the international child rights organization Child Rights and You (CRY), SRF is working intensively on child rights protection issues in nine slums of Varanasi city and nine villages of Aurai block in Bhadohi district. The work encompasses children, their families, communities and other stakeholders, focusing specifically on topics such as child labour, child sexual abuse, the Juvenile Justice Act, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, Child Marriage Act and child participation.

Shakti Pari Project

With the support of the Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiative (APPI), the organization is engaging with 1,000 adolescent girls in 11 to 19 years age group across 15 newly urbanized slums within Varanasi municipal boundaries. This project addresses issues like health, nutrition, education, safety, skill development, life skills and gender equality, involving the adolescent girls, their families, communities and other stakeholders.

Family Counselling Centre (FCC)

With the support of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, a Family Counselling Centre has been established. Its purpose is to resolve family disputes, provide counselling to women who are victims of domestic abuse, raise awareness about the Domestic Violence Act, and educate women on their rights. The centre also ensures proper legal implementation of the act to support women seeking assistance.
